City of Toronto – Rain Barrel Savings Program

The City of Toronto is launching a pilot program to make it easier and more affordable for residents to collect and use rainwater at home. Through this program, the City of Toronto will provide a subsidy of 80 per cent for rain barrels and downspout diverters, including free delivery.
This program supports the City’s ongoing efforts to conserve water. Warmer and drier summer conditions are contributing to increased outdoor water use for lawns and gardens. Rain barrels help to conserve water for your garden and support sustainable landscaping practices.
